Prolife Joins AF-SCREEN International Collaboration as a Silver Supporter
AF-SCREEN connects more than 230 clinicians and researchers from over 40 countries. The international collaboration advances atrial fibrillation screening through research, clinical exchange, and population-based programmes. Its work supports earlier AF detection as part of global stroke prevention strategies.
The 2026 meeting placed particular focus on combined screening for hypertension and atrial fibrillation — two leading risk factors for stroke.
Combined Screening for Hypertension and Atrial Fibrillation
Hypertension and atrial fibrillation often require different pathways of detection. A single home measurement can screen for both.
Prolife contributed to the discussion on combined BP and AF screening in population programmes and home cardiovascular monitoring. The exchange brought together clinical experience from different healthcare systems and highlighted the growing role of validated home measurement technologies.
AFibra™ SMART attracted strong interest from the professional community. Testing of the technology’s AF detection accuracy has been completed at two independent European centres. The results are being prepared for publication.
During the meeting, the Prolife team held a series of discussions with arrhythmologists from Europe, Australia, and Africa. These meetings initiated several research projects focused on AF screening across different populations and measurement environments.
Prolife PX7 Premium: Blood Pressure Measurement and AF Detection
Prolife PX7 Premium measures blood pressure and detects atrial fibrillation with AFibra™ SMART during a single measurement process. AF detection takes place automatically during cuff inflation and requires no additional action from the user.
The device’s blood pressure measurement accuracy has been clinically validated according to the AAMI/ESH/ISO Universal Standard ISO 81060-2:2018, including its 2020 and 2024 amendments.
Prolife PX7 Premium is also listed by STRIDE BP as a Preferred Device for home blood pressure monitoring. Its STRIDE BP profile identifies atrial fibrillation detection, automated storage of multiple readings, a validated cuff range of 22–45 cm, and a wide-range cuff among the device’s features.
Prolife and International Cardiovascular Research
Prolife develops personal health monitoring technologies grounded in Swiss engineering and clinical validation. Participation in the AF-SCREEN International Meeting extends the brand’s cooperation with clinicians and researchers working to advance hypertension and atrial fibrillation screening.
Two risk factors. One measurement process. One reason to act.
We measure differently.
